I don’t know if you are like me, but sometimes I find it so difficult to hear my own thoughts above the constant background noise of other people’s chatter … (“Mum, can I please have something to eat?” “Mum, I’m bored!” “Honey, have you seen the car keys?” “Mum can you wipe my bottom?” ) It’s easy to lose yourself or at least, the person you used to be.

Is 08 going to be the year “drinking beer in front of the TV” becomes a hot new fitness trend? Sorry sports fans…Maybe next year.

The American College of sports medicine (ACSM) have released this year’s biggest trends and the Diet Blog have sorted through the data and listed the top 10 fitness trends in 08.

Check it out and if you’re not already into one of these trends it might be time to try it out?

I came across this great post tonight from “The Fit List” called Beyond the Scales - Measuring Fitness Progress and I wanted to take a minute to talk about it.

Many Of my clients have asked the same question that you’ve probably asked yourself…”Apart from weighing myself every week, how can I really tell if I’m losing weight?”….Or In other words, If you didn’t like what number just came up on the scales, where can I get a second opinion?
