@ Tonie...thanks for your comments (always appreciated!) I've had lots of great feedback on this article via email...Paul Taylor is such a great lecturer... I recently went to another lecture of his and learned heaps more, so eventually I might be allowed to post something about that lecture too!

Liz Harpers last blog post..<a href="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~r/fitnessliz/~3/310087883/" rel="nofollow">Eggs…not as bad as they’re cracked up to be???</a>

@fatbastard....thanks for your comments and I hope you're enjoying my blog...you bring up a good point re: eggs making you feel "fuller" than some other breakfasts... some of my clients have said the same thing!

Great article! I happen to love eggs! I know they aren't the best food for me as it comes to my cholesterol, but the positives are worth having them occasionally. I look for the eggs with omega 3 and use olive oil when I cook them. I've found I eat less during the day if I have eggs versus cereal or oatmeal.

Hi-

Nice article, and certainly the point that a healthy lifestyle with no single food (or drug) preventing cardiovascular disease is right on the mark. The U.S. National Institutes of Health recommends a broad set of therapeutic lifestyle changes to promote heart health and cholesterol reduction. From a nutrtitional perspective, this covers plant sterols, soluble fiber, monounsaturated fats instead of saturated and trans fats, and reduced dietary cholesterol. Clinical studies have determined that this nutritioinal approach can deliver cholesterol reductions of 30% or more. Here at Kardea Nutrition, we also look at some other nutrients including Omega-3s from marine sources and niacin from nicotinic acid--although these nutrient are less about lower cholesterol and more about improving other blood lipid profiles.

Of course, living the heart healthy diet is not always easy. Kardea Nutrition's mission is to enable heart healthy nutrition. We certainly provide some great products to help, but success really depends on the total diet, day-in and day-out. To explore the issues of natural cholesterol management more deeply, click to www.kardeanutrition.com or www.kardeagourmet.com.

I read about this on another blog, and this guy is a.. *cleans up language* idiot. They have nothing else to do in jail than dream up new lawsuits. It gets them out and interacting with other people, lawyers, courts, etc. You said 3000 calories a day? Wow, I'm anywhere from 1200 to 1500. He'd really be pissed.

Nadines last blog post..<a href="http://saygoodbyetothepounds.com/2008/05/15/i-was-right/" rel="nofollow">I Was Right</a>

@Fatbastard - Thanks for your comment and I'm with you on the product placement thing....it's especially hard with a small child..everything is in their eye line.

Good for you grabbing a fresh bowl of over priced fruit....I bet it felt good even if the hit to the wallet didn't.
