We all love a treat right? Nothing better than relaxing with a nice cup of tea and a biscuit is there? Only problem is that little biscuit will more than likely be loaded with sugar…which is not good for anyones waist line.

However, there are always healthy alternatives…..and in this case….A tasty Alternative.

Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients

2 cups of Rolled Oats

1 cup Wholemeal SR Flour

1/3 cup bran

1/2 cup of chopped dried fruit and nuts (such as sultanas, apricots, dates, walnuts, almonds).

1/2 cup honey

Lite Milk

Cooking Instructions

Heat the oven to 180 deg C. Mix all ingredients (except milk) together in a bowl. Gradually add the milk until mixture is moist and sticky and well-binded.

Place tablespoons of mixture on a tray that has been sprayed with canola oil.

Decrease oven to 150 deg C and place the cookies into the oven.

Cook for 15-25 minutes depending on how hard you like the cookies.

Cookies can be frozen.

(Please note: If you have food allergies these may not be suitable)

Next - Eat safe in the knowledge that you’re putting something healthy into your mouth…..yum yum.
