Madonna looks great; she’s almost fifty and showing no signs of slowing down or aging.
But has she set the bar a little too high for the average woman? Can you seriously achieve her results in the real world?
Let’s look at the facts – Madonna’s estimate wealth is around $850 million….now, you can buy a lot of help with that sort of money.
Think about your day for a moment. If you’re a mother you’re up early making breakfast, preparing lunches, dressing children, dropping them off to school, heading off to work, coming home cooking dinner, getting kids ready and off to bed, catching up on house work…..there’s a lot going on…which doesn’t leave a lot of time for sculpting your body into a Madonna clone.
Madonna can and does get a lot of help, which leaves heaps of room in her busy schedule for workouts. You could bank on the fact that she would have chef to prepare her food, Nannies, Nutritionists and a personal trainer on call….she even brought a $12 million home because it was right next to the fitness centre she goes to.
Now don’t get me wrong, I’m not “Knocking Madonna” by any means, I am simply saying that it is unrealistic for the everyday person to expect to achieve a physique like hers.
Nintendo’s Wii Fit – Video tones the joystick star!

I’ve been meaning to blog about this since I saw Nintendo’s new “Wii Fit” advertised on a billboard a few weeks ago.
If you haven’t heard about Wii Fit, it’s essentially a video game that incorporates exercise in four major categories:
- Aerobic exercise
- Muscle Conditioning
- Yoga Poses
- Balance Games
Wii Fit managed to sell over a quarter of a million copies in it’s first week…..which at $70 a pop is a lot of dosh….but is it worth the ticket price?
I should say right off the bat that by no means is this post a review of Wii Fit, It is simply a comment on the idea of having a video game that encourages children to exercise. I love it.
Mum and Dads if you’re going to buy a video game for your child this year that could improve their health…this could be it.
